This unique group is designed to help children aged between 5 - 8 develop their social skills through hands-on activities through the use of Lego in a creative and engaging way. This group aims to foster friendships, strengthen teamwork and effective communication in a fun and supportive environment through collaborative building and imaginative play.

Each child is assigned a role to work together as a team to build a model following guidance from our qualified therapists. There will be:

  • An engineer, who reads the instructions from the instruction booklet

  • A supplier, finds the right bricks

  • A builder, who puts the bricks together

  • A director, who makes sure the team is working together

Targeted Skills

  1. Social Skills: promote teamwork, sharing, cooperation and effective communication through collaborative projects.

  2. Emotional Regulation: encourage self-awareness and understanding of emotions.

  3. Problem Solving: develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities as children work together to overcome design challenges.

  4. Flexibility: enhance adaptability and flexibility by encouraging children to work with others and adapt to changing situations.

  5. Friendship Building: the development of new friendships along with strengthening existing ones through shared experiences and common interests.
